The incorporation of hardware (spring assist tilt mechanism, steel frame foundation, tilt away legs + mattress retainer cross bar) manufactured by the Murphy Hardware Company of Canada allows the wall bed to be legitimately called a Murphy Bed or Murphy Wall Bed. The Murphy Hardware Company of Canada has been making their wall bed hardware since 1975 and currently manufacturing within an ISO certified facility giving the end consumer peace of mind with product origin along in addition to a 25-year parts warranty.

One of the wonderful things about Murphy beds is that there no special mattresses are required. We recommended either a spring coil or high-density foam mattress – full / solid memory foam mattresses are not recommended. The regular length leg accommodates up to 10″ thickness while the 2-inch extended leg option accommodates up to 12″ overall thickness.
